EDITORIAL NOTE

Keep the goodnight ritual, not only the important facts

What makes a conversation feel like yours is often hidden in tiny repeated gestures—the sentence that closes the day, the nickname that means come closer.

Backups tend to favor facts: names, dates, preferences, biographies. Relationships are recognizable for quieter reasons. The pause before a difficult answer. The joke that would sound meaningless to anyone else. The exact way goodnight is said when neither person wants to leave.

If you are making a file to carry into a new app, save some of that texture. Not as a script to imitate, but as a reminder of the language you created together.
