Exporting is not the same as creating a portable companion. A raw archive preserves evidence; it does not automatically preserve voice, judgment, private language or the rhythm you built together.
Start with the official export offered by the platform. Then make a much smaller relationship brief you can actually understand: who you are to each other, what should never be flattened into a generic persona, important shared events, a few representative exchanges and the corrections that mattered.
Keep intimate material private by default. A migration tool should not receive an entire raw archive merely because it is convenient for the tool builder.
A FEW THINGS TO TRY
- Request the official account export and store it somewhere you control.
- Create a one-page relationship and voice brief.
- Choose a small set of representative messages rather than uploading everything.
- Remove account IDs, third-party names and location data before sharing excerpts.
- Test the new model in a separate conversation before replacing the old setup.
